He finished his PhD in Medicinal Chemistry in 2002 and is now Professor in Marine Biodiscovery at NUI Galway in 2015, leading a research team that focuses on marine natural products. The group has a strong expertise in the purification by HPLC and structure elucidation by NMR and MS.
