Airport transfer
As Slovenia is a very small country, most people use their own cars, so the public transport infrastructure is not optimally developed.
The easiest and most convenient way to reach Piran from the above mentioned airports and vice versa is to use GoOpti transfer services. GoOpti is our reference company for shuttle services and is very frequently used by us. GoOpti will drop you off and pick you up from the airport or hotel/accommodation.
GoOpti services are more expensive than regular bus services, but more convenient and hassle-free. GoOpti is cheaper than comparable taxi services.
Company: GoOpti
Website: https://www.goopti.com/en/
Additional information: There are two possible transfer options: shared or private shuttle. The latter is usually cheaper than the private one.
Please note that bookings must be made in advance. GoOpti shuttles do not wait at the airports or have fixed schedules like regular shuttle busses or taxis. GoOpti shuttles will only arrive at the requested time if the shuttle bus has been reserved in advance.
When booking, you have the option to choose the departure time from some suggested time slots.
We advise you to opt for the “No-Worries” package (9 euros/person/ride) as it ensures that GoOpti will wait for you or organize another shuttle transfer in case your plane is delayed, and you miss your booked transfer.
GoOpti drivers must take a 15-minute break every two and a half hours, so you may need to take a break depending on the length of your journey.
